    A lush jungle projected across the wall of a waiting room, a beach view above the urinal,
    a bamboo forest covering a construction site. Humorous at first—absurd even. These
    fake landscapes, often printed on plastic, sit ironically within the very environments which have
    replaced them.

    But beyond the surface, this phenomenon starts to raise questions. Is it meant to comfort? Does it activate a deep, primal instinct—a longing for green, open spaces no longer available? If so, is this illusion enough? 

    The prints are more than decoration. They speak to a contradiction: acknowledging human desire
    for nature while continuing to pave over it. Soothing, while quietly reminding of what’s
    lost. Concrete Jungle follows this tension. It questions why visual stand-ins are accepted and what it means
    that they exist in the first place.

    Meet Me at 440 documents Fabienne Menden’s final collection. 

    The collection fuses notes from Menden’s orchestra background and draws stylistically from the Blitz Kids movement of 1980’s London. The publication is divided into seven chapters, one for each look, and gives an insight into the process, materiality, and direction behind the project.
